Signal Energy is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineering Manager to join the Signal Energy team. The ideal candidate will primarily be focused on coordinating with engineering team as well as the third party engineers to hold them accountable for creating innovative and cost-competitive conceptual designs that meet all customer and AHJ specifications, as well as identifying, evaluating and implementing new technology and products. This Manager will ensure the electrical engineering team has the technical support needed to compete to win, provide clear design quantities and cost-effective solutions to the client, estimating team as well as line up the appropriate outside engineering support, and prepare a technically sound Basis of Design for detailed development.

Reports to: Principal Electrical Engineering

Manages: Clients, third party engineers, field team, etc

Works closely with: Electrical Engineers, Project Engineers, and Procurement

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Mentor the engineers individually as they develop in their careers and motivate them to continue learning, improving, and living out Signal's Core Principles
• Train the team to work creatively and efficiently and organize continuous learning opportunities for the group
• Manage the workload for the third party engineers, prioritize tasks, and seek input from appropriate subject matter experts
• Support the development and maintenance of a robust set of design best practices, standards, and review processes including CAD templates, preferred equipment lists, typical specifications, and approach to energy modeling
• Champion innovation and creativity in design tools, processes and plant technology to make Signal Energy an industry leader in these aspects
• Monitor all engineering activities to ensure customer expectations are exceeded and Signal Energy consistently delivers innovative, best in class technical solutions
• Drive internal and external collaboration and reviews to ensure all conceptual designs meet project requirements and optimize project cost, performance, constructability, and risk
• Line up appropriate outside engineering support and build trusted partnerships
• Support Estimating with technical evaluations of consulting engineer, subcontractor, and vendor proposals to affirm all customer proposals are based on sound engineering principles
• Assemble thorough documentation to prepare the Project Engineers with a high quality, realistic, and well defined design basis to kick off engineering
• Maintain uniform standards for energy modeling in coordination with Signal's Performance Engineer to support accurate and timely testing during close out

• Must be proficient in Procore, Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook and possess the ability to evaluate and implement new software
• Able to travel for team meetings and occasional site visits, up to 10%
