Sr Quality Assurance Engineer

Report to: SOD global quality manager (In Shizuoka, Japan)

Overview: The Shizuoka Office focuses on the research, development, and manufacturing of chemical products used in semiconductor manufacturing processes.

Position: Quality Assurance Group

Responsibilities:

Customer Request Management:

• Address various customer requests (e.g., quality improvements, investigation requests) by coordinating with internal and external stakeholders as needed. Clearly define and lead necessary tasks, ultimately reporting to customers.
• Lead problem-solving for quality issues arising from both internal and external sources, collaborating with relevant parties.

Change Management and Issue Resolution:

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to conduct risk assessments for process change requests, leading appropriate decisions on changes.
• Perform audits of raw material suppliers, follow up on corrective actions and improvements, and ensure suppliers meet the required quality standards.

Project Execution:

• Participate in new product launch projects, carrying out necessary quality assurance tasks (e.g., defining and registering product specifications, packaging decisions) while coordinating with stakeholders as needed.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of an Associate Degree.
• At least 3 years of experience in research and development, quality control, inspection, quality assurance, or manufacturing in the chemical field. Experience in chemical products, semiconductor manufacturing processes, or electronic materials for semiconductors is especially welcome.
• Proficient in English (reading and writing) to participate in global conference calls and email communications.
