Your Role: Lead and manage Employee Relations and Union Relations in Korea in line with Market HR strategy. Ensure policies and procedures for use in Korea are legally compliant, in alignment with the objectives and ethics of the business. Work with key business stakeholders and HRBP/SPs to implement the people strategy and employee lifecycle solutions. Take a lead role on High Impact Culture change across sites and business units in Korea. Develop and implements employee/union strategies and broader employee engagement programs, policies and processes well aligned with business requirements. Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures, as well as local laws and regulations related to employee relations, such as ROE & ER related policies etc. Build strong and strategic relationships among the key stakeholders (e.g., Site Directors, Country Speaker, Sector Business Lead, Sector HR, Unions, Government Officers) allowing positive, open and collaborative relationships. Plans and leads employee relations negotiations and activities such as CBA, wage negotiation, LMC. Able to identify ER/LR risks for Korea proactively and able to design/implement UR Playbook with mitigation plans in tandem with HRBPs. Partner with the business leaders in the country to prioritize people related topics that have bearing on business outcomes; translate business requirements into HR solutions and systems that deliver business results. Liaises with the business leadership teams on employee relations issues and collaborates with local HRBPs, HRSPs and sector HRs to ensure it has a positive impact on High Impact Culture in Korea. Act as the advisor/supporter for HRBPs providing direct intervention and hands-on support in resolving ER/UR issues. Accountable for investigating all allegations of HR-responsible cases, ensuring strict adherence to the global case management policy. Identifies trends in employment practices & labor law changes and advise on appropriate proactive action and training opportunities. Utilizes data to analyze and give visibility to trends and take appropriate actions. Manages ER projects to improve processes, drive consistency, increase efficiency, and enhances organizational performance.
Who You Are: + 10 years of experience in HR roles in a corporate, multinational environment. Relevant experience in ER & UR management with good knowledge of local labor law, standards, and procedures. Proven track record of working collaboratively and communicating effectively in a cross-functional and multi-cultural environment. Must be self-directed and able to perform proactively, learn new skills and be flexible in a changing environment. Have a bias toward action with the end result in mind. Develops executable plans to deliver the strategy and hold self and other accountable for results. Demonstrated ability and experience to manage end-to-end projects for organizational change and transition in liaising with diverse business stakeholders. Proven ability to work successfully in a matrix organization. Excellent communication skills in English both written and orally.
