Manages projects supporting clinical objectives while adhering to budget, scope, and schedule requirements. The Operations Lead supports the fast-paced and dynamic Collaborations and Clinical Science team within our global ultrasound business.
This individual will be critical in streamlining operational workflows, improving project execution, and ensuring cross-functional alignment across clinical science, research collaborations, evidence generation, and aligning with Physician relations, Marketing, Regulatory, Legal, Compliance, and Product Management teams.
The Operations Lead will have the overarching responsibility of managing all operational aspects of collaborations, developing and delivering the capabilities that may take the form of competencies, processes, tools, and data models that support all aspects of clinical collaborations and clinical science.
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in clinical operations, strives in complex matrix environments, and has a proven ability to drive process improvement without losing sight of strategic goals in a heavily regulated environment.
This is a hybrid position in our Issaquah, Washington office.
In this role you will be responsible for the following:
Project and Portfolio Operations
- Oversee and track execution across 70-100+ clinical and collaboration projects globally.
- Maintain dashboards, resource plans, and milestone tracking across franchises (interventional and diagnostic).
- Facilitate project intake and prioritization processes to ensure strategic alignment.
- In partnership with regulatory team, oversee risk and compliance management in collaborative and clinical projects, ensuring adherence to applicable laws (e.g. FDA, MDR, GDPR, Sunshine Act, Anti-Kickback Statute), provide audits and reporting.
Cross-functional Coordination
- Orchestrate priorities and resources with internal and external teams enabling operational support of contract management, compliance, audits, payments, equipment management.
- Serve as the operational Liaison across Collaborations, Clinical Science, Advanced Development, Regulatory, R&D, Marketing, and Legal teams.
- Coordinate stakeholder input for collaboration agreements, clinical protocols, evidence planning, and post-market studies.
- Support alignment between strategic clinical priorities and downstream execution.
Process and Infrastructure Development
- Identify and implement scalable processes for documentation, reporting, budget tracking, and contract flow.
- Standardize SOPs and tools to support collaboration agreements, study documentation, and evidence generation.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, transparency, and accountability.
Team and Communication Support
- Support the head of collaborations and Clinical Science with planning cycles, KPI tracking, and team communications.
- Facilitate team meetings, timelines, and deliverables across internal and external stakeholders.
- Support resource allocation and operational planning for multidisciplinary teams (Clin Science, product management, project leads).
- Spearhead process digitization, automation, and report improvements to scale operations efficiently as the team matures.
- Orchestrates priorities and resources (within and external to the team) across multiple capabilities, making changes within the organizational scope and/or escalating to capability management where required.

Your Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in clinical operations, R&D project management, or innovation program leadership in healthtech, MedTech, or diagnostics.
- Deep understanding of healthcare compliance, experience with transparency reporting, FMV assessments, and contracting workflows.
- Familiarity with clinical evidence generation, regulatory submissions, or product development cycles in imaging or diagnostics.
- Prior leadership in managing cross-functional teams or portfolios, pre- and post-market studies or partnerships.
- Proven track record of strategic planning, risk management, and delivering results in complex global environments.
- Experience with budget oversight, contract execution workflow, and evidence generation lifecycle.
- Demonstrating ability to manage complex programs in matrix environments with competing priorities.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- People management skills.
- Experience in working with clinical and academic research environments.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, as well as knowledge of clinical research and scientific principles. Experience with tools like MS Project, Power BI, or similar platforms is a plus.
