Production Planner

Sherwin-Williams was founded in the USA in 1866. In 2010, it acquired Becker Acroma, which has since been part of the Sherwin-Williams group. Today, Sherwin-Williams is a global leader in the paint industry, with manufacturing, development, and sales. Globally, we have over 63,000 employees, including 330 in Sweden, distributed across four locations with manufacturing in Märsta and Bellö, a central warehouse in Nässjö, and a wholly-owned retailer in Vaggeryd. In Sweden, we focus on industrial surface treatment of wood and metal, where our units play a central role in our total sales in Europe.

About the Role

As a Production Planner, you are a key person for our production and daily operations. You are responsible for planning and scheduling production orders based on customer needs, inventory status, and capacity. The role involves close collaboration with production, customer service, purchasing, and logistics to ensure that we deliver on time and are efficient.

Your Responsibilities

  • Schedule production orders based on forecasts, customer orders, and capacity.
  • Ensure that planning meets set KPIs.
  • Adjust and update production schedules when there are changes in demand or production.
  • Analyze reports on efficiency, cycle times, and delivery precision.
  • Coordinate the introduction, change, or removal of products.
  • Participate in production meetings and report status.
  • Act as a link between production and other departments.

The role is a managerial position located at our production site in Märsta, reporting to our Supply Chain Director. You will be part of a team with five other colleagues.

Who Are You?

You are a structured and solution-oriented person who thrives on having many balls in the air. You have an analytical mind and like to work data-driven, while also having a good understanding of the whole production chain. You are communicative and have an easy time collaborating with different functions – both internally and externally.

To succeed in the role, we believe you:

  • Have a proactive approach and take responsibility for driving planning forward.
  • Are flexible and can quickly adapt to changes.
  • Have the ability to prioritize and make decisions under time pressure.
  • Are curious and want to understand how different parts of the business fit together.
  • Have an eye for detail but do not lose sight of the strategic perspective for our entire value chain.

Qualifications

  • High school education is required.
  • 3+ years of experience in planning, supply chain, or production.
  • Good understanding of production flows and distribution principles.
  • Experience with ERP systems like Oracle or SAP.
  • Advanced skills in the Office package.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Speak and write fluently in Swedish. English is not a requirement but is very meritorious.

What We Offer

We offer you the chance for an exciting job in a large international company with many contacts and good development opportunities. Through collective agreements, health care benefits, and other perks, we are a workplace that values your security and well-being.

Please note that you will undergo a new hire investigation before employment, which includes alcohol and drug tests.
