The store manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of their store; this includes ensuring it runs smoothly and efficiently. This includes managing all aspects of store operations, including planning, customer service, marketing, merchandising, inventory, financial reporting, and safety. You will manage and motivate store employees while ensuring their growth. You will also develop business strategies to meet goals and increase sales in a competitive market. In this role, you will increase the company's market share by selling products to important commercial users, such as paint contractors and retail customers.
• Develop business strategies to increase sales and optimize profitability
• Meet sales targets by training, motivating, and mentoring store employees and providing feedback
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through excellent service
• Develop and maintain knowledge of all products to ensure effective recommendations to customers
• Establish positive relationships with wholesale and retail customers
• Perform store administration
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, including safety, loss prevention, and security
• Maintain the exceptional condition of the store and visual merchandising standards, including promotional packaging and floor displays
• Provide accurate and timely reports as needed
• Manage employee training, development, performance management, and corrective actions
• Respond to and resolve customer or employee complaints
• Collaborate with sales representatives to conduct external sales visits to increase market share
Minimum Requirements:
• Must be at least eighteen (18) years old
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment
• Must possess a valid and unrestricted driver's license
• Hold at minimum a high school diploma or adult education general equivalency certificate (CAEC)
• Ability to retrieve materials from shelves and stacks on the floor, as well as to carry up to 50 lb (23 kg), sometimes up to 70 lb (32 kg) with or without reasonable accommodation
• At least one (1) year of experience in a leadership, supervisory, or team management role
• At least one (1) year of experience in a retail, sales, or customer service position
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in French
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in selling paint and related products
• Experience in using timekeeping or customer relationship management systems
• University degree or higher in business, sales, or marketing
• At least one (1) year of experience working as a store or branch assistant manager for Sherwin-Williams
• Willingness to relocate for potential future employment opportunities
