  • Maintain current knowledge of homeless services trends, best practices, and emerging models, including Housing First, Rapid Re-Housing, trauma-informed care, and harm reduction.
  • Support program leaders in monitoring budgets and spending in partnership with Finance and the Chief Program Officer.
  • Translate policy into clear, accessible processes that support programmatic and client outcomes.
  • Ensure staff have access to up-to-date forms, regulations, guidelines, and training materials.
  • Under the advisement of the Chief Program Officer, implement Shelter House's strategic plan and develop new initiatives aligned with the organization's mission.
  • Serve as liaison to key government agencies, particularly the Loudoun County Department of Family Services.
  • Represent Shelter House on committees, task forces, and at speaking engagements, conferences, and trainings.
  • Assist with responses to RFPs and RFAs in partnership with Development and management staff, as needed.
  • Determine staffing structures and participate in hiring decisions for new program staff.
  • Proficiently use Microsoft products as part of daily work responsibilities.
