National Account Manager, Foodservice Sales Remote

The National Accounts Manager, Foodservice Sales reports directly to the Director of Foodservice & QSR and plays a critical role in driving growth for Shearer's private label and branded products within leading broadline foodservice distributors. This position is responsible for developing and executing strategic plans to increase sales, strengthen customer relationships, and ensure market competitiveness through effective assortment management. This highly visible role requires strong collaboration across internal teams and frequent interaction with customers to deliver exceptional results.

Your Seat at the Table

  • Manage day-to-day customer relationships with a deep understanding of client goals and long-term strategies.
  • Partner with the Foodservice team and Shearer's Commercial Team (SCT) to drive profitable revenue growth.
  • Influence and guide cross-functional teams to achieve foodservice sales objectives and meet project requirements.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to identify market opportunities, align with customer needs, and achieve financial targets.
  • Leverage Shearer's capabilities to build and expand strategic partnerships with key customers.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for foodservice customers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Actively listen and analyze customer concerns, translating insights into actionable trends and market needs.
  • Ensure seamless execution of value-added solutions for foodservice accounts.
  • Communicate goals and strategies effectively across internal teams to inspire alignment and action.
  • Organize and lead customer meetings at Shearer's facilities, engaging cross-functional teams.
  • Drive new product initiatives from concept through launch.
  • Demonstrate strategic agility in collaborative business planning and forecasting.
  • Travel approximately 60% for customer meetings, tradeshows, and training events.

Qualifications

What You Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 3–5 years of business development experience; prior exposure to manufacturing, supply chain, and consumer food products (private label preferred).
  • Proven track record of sales success within the foodservice industry, specifically with top broadline distributors, including new item penetration and competitive market analysis.
  • Experience managing a national broker network and negotiating distributor marketing programs to achieve year-over-year growth.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, data analysis, forecasting, and sales performance metrics.
  • Strong critical thinking skills to resolve complex, high-impact, cross-functional challenges.
  • Ability to manage projects independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment; attention to detail and adaptability are essential.
