Position Title: Community Solar Sales Coordinator
Reporting Structure: National Sales Director
Base Pay: $52,000 per year
Earning Plan: Uncapped commissions on sales and uncapped overrides on all team sales. Est. $150,000-$200,000 per year earning potential.

Position Summary
Pathway Solar is seeking an experienced, results-driven Community Solar Sales Coordinator (SC) to build and scale our door-to-door community solar sales programs in Maine. Community solar helps to bring the benefits of solar and savings on electric bills to homes across Maine, with no rooftop panels required.
As the Sales Coordinator, you will be involved in recruiting, briefing, and inspiring our community solar sales teams. This is a project leadership role ideal for someone who has experience coordinating with independently contracted sales consultants, preferably in a door-to-door environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate by Example: Actively participate in door-to-door sales efforts and demonstrate best practices. Sales Coordinators can expect to spend a large portion of their time in the field, particularly at the beginning of the program.
- Project Building: Recruit, brief, and coordinate with our independent sales consultants to meet daily, weekly, and monthly lead generation targets.
- Coaching & Development: Provide optional resources for independent sales consultants to utilize such as: roleplays, and one-on-one sessions to build confidence and skillsets.
- Operational Visibility: Coordinate daily field operations, monitor the closing of sales via CRMs, and make strategic decisions with our contractors.
- Strategy Development: Develop and refine scripts, objection-handling techniques, and sales strategies to improve lead conversion rates.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with support departments and national leadership to ensure alignment between field operations and company standards. Reporting & Analytics: Analyze lead data and sales metrics to identify trends, track ROI, and drive continuous improvement.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure sales activities are conducted in compliance with local laws, community guidelines, company policy and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- 1-2+ years of experience in door-to-door sales; such as home improvement, storm repair, energy deregulation, solar and telecom
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a diverse team.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze performance metrics and make strategic decisions.
- Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and field management software.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Must possess a cell phone and laptop.
- Experience in the solar industry is strongly preferred.
Sales Coordinator Commission and Override Plan
- Personal earning plan: Uncapped Commission on personal sales.
- Team earning plan: Uncapped overrides on all team sales.
The Commission/Override Plan is subject to change in accordance with the business needs.
