Sev1Tech Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) SME Position

Sev1Tech is seeking a Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the US Space Force, Space Operations Command (SpOC), Space Delta 8. Space Delta 8 is the SATCOM war-fighting lead for the US Space Force and leads the operation, maintenance, and modernization of the Wideband Global SATCOM System (WGS) with points of presence located at multiple sites CONUS and OCONUS, providing the day-to-day operational support needed to manage DoD's satellite communications capabilities.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Providing specialized technical assistance, performance analysis, and informal training in support of the Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) constellation and the Global Satellite Communications Configuration Element (GSCCE)
• Advising on satellite payload operations, GSCCE configuration, and anomaly resolution; analyzing telemetry, transponder usage, and throughput metrics
• Developing quick-reference materials and scenario-based training for operators and sustainment personnel
• Synthesizing complex data into actionable insights, enhance system readiness, and support mission assurance across DoD SATCOM environments

Minimum qualifications:

• US Active Top Secret or TS/SCI level clearance (eligible for immediate adjudication by the cognizant security authority)
• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 15 years experience with technical assistance, performance analysis, and informal training
• Experience developing quick-reference materials and scenario-based training for personnel
