The Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) mission is to provide the warfighter with knowledge superiority by developing, delivering, and maintaining effective, capable and integrated command, control, communications, computer, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems. Serco's C4ISR mission support encompasses Enterprise Information Systems (EIS), Information Technology (IT) systems, Electronic Security Systems (ESS), and other electronic systems. From modernizing shore facilities to installing cutting-edge integrated systems, Serco's work ensures the U.S. Navy has the reliable technology it needs—on bases, piers, towers, and mobile platforms across the globe.

As an Engineering Technician V operating in Guam, you will lead / work on a team performing C4ISR, ESS and Audiovisual system modernizations at DoD facilities. You will be an integral member of Serco's ESS team performing non-routine, complex assignments involving planning and production of complete projects or portions of a larger and more diverse project. Responsibilities will include applying advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturers' manuals or similar documents. Examples of such problems include determining the location and density of ESS devices and circuitry, isolating malfunctions, and incorporating engineering changes. For this position, applicants must have relevant ESS and Audiovisual installation/testing experience. To fill this position, the candidate must reside in Guam.

In this role, you will:

  • Follow specific instructions, assemble or integrate/install complex or standard C4ISR equipment or materials into equipment cabinets, rooms, above ceilings and under floors
  • Gather and maintain specified data to assist in development of drawings, performing and verifying that installed equipment and test data meets acceptance criteria
  • Perform complex tasks requiring the consideration of multiple variables to determine proper course of action.
  • Receive general guidance/supervision but normally works independently on mastered tasks.
  • Lead teams in performance of tasks.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • High School diploma and 10+ years of experience in a Department of Defense (DoD) C4ISR related field performing electronic equipment or material integration and installation.
  • An active Secret Security Clearance, or higher, and a valid U.S. passport, and maintain for the duration of employment
  • A U.S. Citizenship
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the year (CONUS and OCONUS)
  • Knowledge and understanding of IT systems and components and their implementation pertaining to DoD Electronic Security Systems
  • Knowledge of requirements for completing all logistics functions of ESS/C4ISR installations (new and/or upgrades) to include the advance planning and scheduling of available resources
  • At least 4 years of experience with installing U.S. Navy, Shore ESS systems
  • Working knowledge of Access Control / Intrusion Detection systems to include experience with Lenel, DMP and Aruba hardware and software
  • Working knowledge of Audiovisual and CCTV systems to include experience with Extron and Bosch hardware and software
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints
  • Install systems infrastructure in rooms, above ceilings and under floors
  • Experience attaching fiber optic and RJ-45 type connectors
  • Plan or assist in PITCO and SOVT tests, to evaluate equipment performance
  • Create redline mark-ups of Installation Design Plans (IDP) and work with design engineers to complete as-built drawings
  • Operate commonly used hand tools and installation test equipment
  • Ability to climb ladders and lift and carry items weighing ≈22.7 kg (50 lb.)
  • Must be able to successfully pass a background investigation and drug screening
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to travel up to 50%

  • Milestone VMS certification
  • BICSI certification
