As a Staff Software Engineer at Sendoso, you'll play a critical role in shaping the architecture and technical strategy of our platform. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver scalable solutions, mentor senior engineers, and drive cross-team initiatives. This role is both hands-on and strategic, ideal for someone who thrives on solving complex problems and guiding technical direction across multiple domains.
Lead the design and development of highly scalable, reliable, and secure systems.
Define and drive technical standards, best practices, and long-term architecture across multiple engineering teams.
Partner with product and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into technical execution plans.
Mentor and coach engineers at all levels, fostering growth and technical excellence.
Conduct design and code reviews to ensure quality, maintainability, and performance.
Proactively identify system bottlenecks, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Contribute hands-on with coding, prototyping, and delivering high-impact features.
Collaborate with the R&D leadership team to influence technology strategy and roadmap.
8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 2+ years in a Staff/Principal-level or equivalent role.
Deep expertise in building distributed, cloud-based systems (AWS or similar).
Strong proficiency in modern web technologies (e.g., Ruby on Rails, Vue.js, or similar frameworks).
Proven ability to lead large, cross-team technical initiatives from concept to delivery.
Excellent system design and architecture skills, with experience scaling high-performant platforms.
Strong communication and leadership skills; able to influence without direct authority.
A passion for mentoring and enabling other engineers to succeed.
Exposure to the operational backbone of a fast-growing SaaS company.
Cross-functional collaboration experience with marketing, logistics, and customer success teams.
