Pay Range: $50 – 60/hr, dependent on experience
Summary:
Provides technical support to all System Control Centers and commissioning agents (i.e. Technicians and Test Engineers) that install, commission, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair components in distribution, generation, and transmission type facilities. Also, possesses a working knowledge of databases and networking technologies. Assists in completing EM projects.
Assist the commissioning agent in the operation and maintenance of the Energy Control System, including the Remote Terminal Units (RTUs), Data Concentrators, Intelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs) that provide analogs, controls, and status inputs to the Energy Management System. Familiarity with GE D20, SEL-RTAC RTUs.
Assist the EM Metering Engineer(s) in the operation and maintenance of the revenue metering system.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, and/or Computer Engineering
Understanding of SCADA and how to operate and troubleshoot - understanding of metering and power
1-3 years of experience in a utility environment utilizing skills associated with communications protocol between IEDs
DNP3.0 (must) and Modbus (is a plus) communication protocols
