Segula Technologies Italia is currently seeking a Freelance Process Engineer to support the start-up of a Monoethylene Glycol (MEG) regeneration plant at the project site in Zohr, Egypt.

This is a crucial role for ensuring the smooth and efficient launch of operations, requiring a hands-on professional with solid technical expertise and experience in process commissioning and optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with engineering and commissioning teams to develop and implement start-up procedures
• Monitor and analyze process parameters and performance during commissioning
• Troubleshoot operational issues and provide technical resolutions in real-time
• Optimize processes to maximize efficiency, performance, and safety
• Ensure strict compliance with HSE and regulatory standards
• Support training and mentoring of local plant personnel on process operations
• Liaise with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure operational readiness

Qualifications:

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• 10 years proven experience in plant start-up, commissioning, or operations within the Oil & Gas / Petrochemical industry
• Solid knowledge of MEG regeneration, gas treatment, or similar chemical processes is a plus
• Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to make decisions under pressure
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work in a multicultural, cross-disciplinary team
• Fluent in English; knowledge of Italian or Arabic is a plus
• Willingness to be on-site in Zohr, Egypt for the duration of the assignment
