Job Description

Segula Technologies is seeking a Drilling & Wells QA/QC Engineer to join our team in Italy. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and implementing a robust QA/QC management system for drilling operations and related services, with the goal of eliminating Non-Productive Time (NPT) and ensuring compliance with internal standards and best industry practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and monitor service companies at the Drilling Support Base to ensure QA/QC systems are effectively implemented.
  • Define yearly QA/QC objectives in collaboration with the Drilling Manager.
  • Verify that all equipment purchasing complies with relevant company and industry standards.
  • Conduct technical and quality inspections of goods received from vendors.
  • Perform quality audits on vendors and drilling contractors to assess contract compliance.
  • Define technical specifications for proper storage of Drilling & Wells (DW) equipment.
  • Implement, enforce, and maintain Service Quality Plans (SQP) in line with API Q2 or equivalent standards.
  • Coordinate inspection activities at contractor sites and ensure proper release procedures before rig mobilization.
  • Maintain and update inspection reporting systems and databases.
  • Support investigations into equipment or service failures.
  • Conduct monthly reviews with service contractors to track quality and improvement actions.
  • Ensure continuous improvement through tracking of GRALs and non-conformance reports.
  • Provide QA/QC support during audits, inspections, and performance reviews.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly QA/QC reports and performance summaries.
  • Support operations in auditing rig management systems, PMS, and corrective action follow-up.

Qualifications

Technical Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of experience in QA/QC, with 8+ years related to drilling activities.
  • Adequate knowledge of general drilling equipment but also completion and Well intervention services.
  • Good global knowledge of Drilling and Wells operations on RIG.
  • Lead Auditor certification in ISO9001/APIQ1.
  • Practitioner certification for APIQ2.
  • Certification mandatory by OT/TL/DW/OPS/QAQC.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
