Projects a positive and professional image of the Sedgwick County Appraiser's Office to all customers through various modes of communication. Provides clear and accurate information and assistance to all internal and external customers, regarding all aspects of the Sedgwick County Appraiser's Office processes, procedures, and data. This is accomplished through properly applied mass appraisal techniques in accordance with the State of Kansas Statutes and the Kansas Department of Revenue, Division of Property Valuation (PVD), directives and guidelines, office policies and procedures, and Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP).

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. One year of customer service experience in a professional office setting or administrative support. Must successfully pass the following courses within three years of hire date: International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO) Course 101 Fundamentals of Real Property Appraisal, Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), Kansas Property Tax Law, Kansas Personal Property Valuation and Assessment, Orion Introduction and Overview of Basic Functionality.
Preferred Qualifications: Two years of mass appraisal experience. Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in Urban Planning, Real Estate, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. Have one or more of the following professional designations: Registered Mass Appraiser (RMA), Certified Assessment Evaluator (CAE), Residential Evaluation Specialist (RES), Mass Appraisal Specialist (MAS), or Assessment Administration Specialist (AAS).
