In the role of Operationeel Manager, you are the driving force behind our expertise division Construction, Engineering & Liability (CEL), where 20 specialized damage experts work on liability, construction, machinery breakdown, and environmental damage.

What will you do as Operationeel Manager CEL?

In your role as (Operationeel) Manager, you are responsible for the operational management of the team of CEL damage experts working from the branches in Amstelveen, Eindhoven, Rotterdam, and Hoogeveen. Management at Sedgwick is carried out from a coaching, guiding, and facilitating role.

Together with the Manager Marine, the Manager Property, the Manager Central Services, and the Operationeel Directeur, you are part of the Expertise & Major Complex Loss management team, a department consisting of 115 professionals. Together, we are responsible for achieving our objectives in the areas of growth, personal development, and excellent service.

Your role consists of:

  • The formulation and execution of a strategic plan for the CEL division and translating this into concrete operational and commercial goals;
  • The management of the CEL division in terms of content quality, workload, adherence to customer agreements, and financial results;
  • The improvement and adjustment of work processes;
  • The (commercial) representation of Sedgwick;
  • The maintenance and development of contacts with clients.

What makes you the perfect match for our vacancy?

You have:

  • A relevant higher professional education or university degree, preferably in civil engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or law;
  • At least ten years of operational experience in the field of technical insurance;
  • Relevant vocational training, such as wft- and/or NIVRE training;
  • A relevant commercial network within the insurance sector that you can both proactively and effectively use to build client relationships;
  • Good command of the Dutch and English languages.
