Location: Netherlands – primarily on-site with the client; some flexibility may be available depending on project needs.

Role Overview

We are seeking an Embedded Security Engineer to join our Global Clients Technology (GCT) team, working directly with a Tier One Data Centre Operator a long-standing strategic client in the Netherlands.

This role is embedded within the client's operational support team, ensuring seamless day-to-day delivery of physical security technologies. You will act as a trusted technical partner on-site, while also being part of a global engineering community driving standardisation, innovation, and continuous improvement across multiple regions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily engineering and technical support for physical security systems, including access control, video surveillance, and intrusion systems.
• Act as part of the client's operational support team, ensuring all activities align with local site procedures and global standards.
• Diagnose and resolve issues across enterprise-level security systems.
• Partner with the wider Global Clients Technology team to align local delivery with global design and programme standards.
• Maintain detailed documentation, update service tickets, and ensure SLA compliance.
• Collaborate closely with client stakeholders, contractors, and global engineering/design resources to ensure smooth delivery of projects and services.

Requirements

We're looking for candidates with the following experience and qualifications:

• Proven experience with enterprise security platforms such as LenelS2, CCure, Genetec, Milestone, Axis, or Gallagher.
• Familiarity with large-scale, multi-site technology deployments (data centre or other critical infrastructure experience preferred).
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work effectively in a client-embedded role.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills in English (written and spoken).
• Right to work in the Netherlands is essential.

Desirable Qualifications

• Training, certifications, or equivalent experience in the following areas are advantageous:
• Access Control – CCure (Level 2 Advanced Integrator)
• Video Surveillance – IP-based CCTV
• Networking – Cisco Certified Technician (baseline knowledge)
• Key Management – e.g. TRAKA
• Perimeter Intrusion Detection Systems (PIDS) – e.g. SightLogix or equivalent
• Biometric Security – e.g. IRIS ID / Alcatraz AI
