As a Sales Engineer, a typical day may include: conducting presentations with clients explaining the benefits of a solution, clarifying doubts and seeking the realization of the sale; visiting clients to strengthen relationships, understand the needs and seek ways to serve them better; prospecting new business, mapping strategies for penetration in markets and clients with little reach; making technical and commercial proposals, discussing and negotiating them with the technical area and the purchasing area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Manage and develop relationships with SEL customers and channel partners.
2. Understand the true requirements and objectives of customers. Determine, communicate and deliver the optimal SEL solution that best meets their needs.
3. Building and maintain knowledge of all SEL products and teaching customers SEL technology and innovation.
4. Develop, maintain and deliver upon quarterly orders forecasts and sales goals.
5. Collect, analyze and report industry, competitor and customer trends to the greater SEL organization.
6. Work collaboratively to understand and drive the resolution of customer feedbacks and product issues.
7. Liaise between customers, contracts & risk, and accounts receivable to facilitate commercial relationships.
8. Utilize business tools to maintain customer relationship information, opportunity tracking and sales activities.
10. Follow and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operation, and World-Class Manufacturing principles.

12. Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline (to qualify for Engineer title) or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience in technical sales (to qualify for Professional title)
(In Canada: Qualifies for Professional title if no P.E. license) 3 or more years of experience in an electrical engineering or technical sales environment
Demonstrated success working in a customer facing role Ability to travel Effective and engaging communication skills Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
Fluent in local language and business practices Background check results satisfactory to SEL Negative drug test result(s)
