As a Service Technician, you'll be at the heart of the action, ensuring every bike, pair of skis, and snowboard that leaves our shop is trail-ready. We are looking for a high-energy enthusiast who loves the gear as much as the sport and wants to share that excitement with our community every single day.
What You'll Do
- Be the Gear Expert: You'll be the go-to pro for assembling and maintaining top-tier equipment—from fine-tuning mountain bikes and sharpening hockey skates to prepping skis and custom-fitting golf clubs—ensuring every customer is ready for peak performance.
- Deliver Premium Service: Whether you're explaining the perks of the Scheels Visa Rewards card or servicing a customer's bike, you'll provide an elite, professional experience that builds lasting relationships.
- Master the Technical Details: You will keep the shop running smoothly by maintaining meticulous service records, safely handling specialized tasks like CO2 filling, and solving complex mechanical problems with a sharp, analytical eye.
- Champion the Team Atmosphere: You'll contribute to a high-energy, respectful environment, collaborating with your team to keep the store looking professional while staying flexible to support the shop during weekends, holidays, and peak seasons.

The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for individuals who take pride in their work and treat every customer like the most important person in the building.
- Culture Fit: You arrive early (10 minutes is our standard!), bring high energy, and have a genuine desire to help others.
- Skills: Basic math and communication skills are essential for sales and reporting.
- Physicality: This is a "medium work" role. You should be comfortable standing, walking, and occasionally lifting/moving up to 50 lbs.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma (or GED) and 1–3 months of related experience are preferred.
*Candidate must be at least 18 years of age.
Schedule & Compensation
- Hours: Average of 15-20 hours per week
- The Shift: 2-3 evening shifts a week from (5:00 PM - 9:00 PM).
- Weekends: Minimum of every other weekend (Saturdays between 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM; Sundays 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM).
- Pay: The hourly rate posted is a base hourly wage.
