Mission Support Warranty Specialist

Role Overview
We are seeking a Mission Support Warranty Specialist to support the tactical execution of warranty operations within our Mission Services organization. This Individual Contributor role will report to the Mission Support Program Manager and focus on the day-to-day tracking of warranty agreements, maintaining accurate data in our CRM systems, coordinating supplier warranty processes, and ensuring timely execution of returns and claims.
The Warranty Specialist will manage RMA coordination with OEM suppliers, track and administer customer warranty coverage, and serve as the primary claims coordinator for our engine manufacturer, including ship set commissioning, warranty claim submission, and recall management.
This role is ideal for someone with a background in service supply chain operations who thrives in fast-paced, detail-oriented work. Candidates with experience in high-volume warranty environments — such as automotive dealer service departments, manufacturing, or logistics — will be especially strong fits.
Key Responsibilities
- Warranty Tracking & Administration
- Track warranty agreements across customers and suppliers to ensure compliance.
- Keep CRM systems up to date with warranty coverage, claims history, and status.
- Monitor warranty expirations, claim deadlines, and recall notices.
- Supplier Warranty & RMA Coordination
- Partner with Supply Chain on supplier warranty relationships.
- Administer and track RMA processes with OEM suppliers, ensuring timely resolution of returns.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics for parts tied to warranty claims.
- Claims & Recall Management
- Act as the claims coordinator for engine manufacturer warranty programs.
- Support ship set commissioning to ensure warranty coverage is properly established.
- Submit, document, and follow through on warranty claims.
- Manage recall notifications and processes in partnership with suppliers and internal teams.
- Process Discipline & Reporting
- Maintain SOPs for warranty tracking, RMA handling, and claims processing.
- Provide regular reporting on warranty claims status, costs, and trends.
- Support continuous improvements in warranty accuracy, responsiveness, and supplier engagement.
Qualifications
- Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in warranty management, service supply chain, or related operations.
- Direct experience with warranty claim coordination, RMA processing, or recall administration.
- Experience in claims management for a high-volume service department at an automotive dealer, or in manufacturing or logistics warranty environments, strongly preferred.
- Technical & Functional Skills
- Proficiency with CRM systems for warranty tracking (Salesforce experience a plus).
- Familiarity with supplier warranty agreements, RMA processes, and service parts logistics.
- Strong record-keeping and data accuracy skills.
- Comfortable with ERP or supply chain systems.
- Leadership & Soft Skills
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple claims and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong follow-through and accountability in process execution.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Team player with a customer service mindset.

- Occasional travel may be required for supplier visits or customer support.
