Santander Digital Services is the technology and operations team of Santander. Santander Digital Services is looking for a Software Engineer based in Madrid.

You will fit in the team if you like technology, want to understand the risks faced by the Bank, constantly learn from new technologies, and if in addition to developing your technical skills, you also care about improving your soft skills (communication ability, critical thinking, initiative, and eagerness to learn).

In this position, your main responsibilities will include:

• Analysis and refinement of user requirements.
• Performing effort estimates associated with requirements.
• Performing the technical design of solution, proposing structure of components: microservices, APIs, data models, etc.
• Ensuring that the built software code meets performance, quality, maintainability, and cybersecurity requirements.
• Designing and executing tests, both unit and integrated.
• Ensuring the operation of applications within its scope, ensuring zero incidents.
• Accompanying devops in the deployment of software.
• Properly documenting both the developments carried out and the activity within its scope (in JIRA)

The following requirements represent the essential knowledge, skills, and competencies for this position.

Professional Experience

• 3 years of experience as a software engineering analyst in technology projects, software development, and maintenance (Required).
• Experience in the technological field for Financial entities, with a very positive valuation of knowledge in asset titulizations, as well as in other balance sheet mobilization operations (Desirable).

Education

• From a higher degree (computer science and communications; electricity and electronics) to an engineering degree (computer science, telecommunications, industrial, etc.), mathematics, or similar studies that allow you to have a base on which to build your development and contribute to your work. (Required)

Languages

• Spanish. (Required)
• English. (Intermediate level) (Desirable)

Technical Skills (Hard Skills)

• Good handling of Microsoft Office tools. (Required)
• Good handling of JIRA tool. (Required)
• Advanced knowledge in: Java development, microservices and APIs, SpringBoot, Openshift. (Required)
• Valuable knowledge in Angular, microfrontends. (Desirable)
• Valuable knowledge in BigData (Phyton, Spark, etc). (Desirable)

Interpersonal Skills (Soft Skills)

• Knowledge of agile methodologies. (Required)
• Ability to work integrated in high-performance teams. (Required)
• Ability to communicate and relate in complex environments. (Required)
