The Santander Private Credit Financing team sits within the Securitized Products Group and provides customized financing solutions to private credit managers, including asset backed leverage facilities (ABLs), rated financing facilities, and private credit CLO warehouses and CLO structuring/execution. The candidate will assist in the structuring, execution, and monitoring of private credit financing transactions with Santander clients. The candidate will participate in the full lifecycle of deals, from origination to structuring and closing. The candidate should have strong communication skills, strong Microsoft office skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic and fast faced environment that requires multi-tasking, high attention to detail, and close collaboration with internal teams, external constituents, and external clients.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the structuring and execution of private credit financing transactions through preparation and negotiation of term sheets, review of complete deal documents with external legal counsel, and assisting in the complete credit approval and closing process through coordination with internal constituents
• Structure and model private credit financing transactions using Excel and potentially Intex and Rating Agency software. For rated facilities, liaise with Rating Agencies and manage the ratings process
• Assist in the underwriting of private credit managers and asset pools, including analysis of both quantitative and qualitative factors such as collateral performance and borrower financials, the originator's underwriting process and track record, risks and mitigants of the loan structure, and industry dynamics
• Help with the monitoring of existing transactions including building and maintaining borrowing base files in coordination with collateral originators and trustees. Monitor the performance of the underlying loans to detect deterioration in financials and/or materials events, and work with the asset underwriting team to revalue underperforming collateral.
• Prepare presentations for internal Santander business partners and senior management covering private credit market trends and summarizing current positions and risk across Santander private credit financing facilities.
• Assist in the origination of private credit financing transactions by building relationships with private credit managers. Help build external brand awareness of the Santander franchise.
• Work in close coordination with CLO structuring and CLO syndicate in the structuring, marketing, and pricing of private credit CLO transactions that are done out of our warehouses.
• Partner closely with internal global teams across sales, banking, capital markets, and wealth management to help educate, develop, and advise clients on the CLO market. Prepare presentations providing overviews of the private credit financing market and highlighting Santander's capabilities and track record.

What Else You Need To Know

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.

Base Pay Range

Minimum: $202,500.00 USD

Maximum: $280,000.00 USD
