We are looking for a Junior Front End Software Engineer with at least 2 years of experience in developing technology projects for a key position in our technology ecosystem for our offices in Madrid (Edificio Luca de Tena).

Our work consists of designing and developing the software that serves the Banco Santander Business, understanding those technologies and the possible risks they have for our clients, society, and shareholders. These will be your main tasks:

  • Technical expert reference: Act as a technical and functional expert in the area, performing the analysis, design, and implementation of new functionalities and initiatives, maintaining an updated view of the sector's trends, regulations, and best practices.
  • Regulatory, normative compliance, and best practices: Ensure that technological developments and solutions meet the regulatory frameworks and internal policies in architecture, security, risk management, data, and quality (testing).
  • Technology sustainability management: Ensure the maintenance and evolution of the technological capabilities of the area, actively managing technical debt and promoting long-term sustainable solutions.
  • Impulse to value delivery: Foster an environment that favors the continuous delivery of technological value, as well as its correct measurement, follow-up, and reporting at the organizational level.
  • Technical capacity management: Coordinate the availability and assignment of technical capabilities according to the delivery strategy established by the different technology chapters.
  • Comprehensive project management: Elaborate detailed work plans, control the end-to-end execution of projects, and ensure the fulfillment of technical and functional milestones and deliverables.
  • Risk management and conflict resolution: Identify, document, and manage risks and conflicts that may affect projects, including their communication and escalation when necessary.
  • Management of interdependencies and coordination of stakeholders: Ensure that interdependencies between teams and projects are correctly identified and managed, effectively coordinating with internal and external stakeholders (corporate, factories, subsidiaries).
  • Project tracking: Elaborate and present periodic reports on the status, risks, and progress of projects to the management committee and other key instances of the technology area.
