Position Summary

The Product Sr. Specialist is responsible for the entire process of Equity Investment of SPBI. This includes but it is not limited to, the creation and management of a list of approved equities and ETFs (Universe) that could be incorporated into an investment proposal under a quantitative and qualitative metrics. In addition, s/he will be responsible for periodic reports to inform and support the equity selection and positioning, configuration of a model portfolio taking into account the market vision, the generation of tactical ideas and commercial opportunities in coordination with different platforms and communicate the asset class vision to the Global Investment Team and Asset Allocation Committee. The Product Sr. Specialist reports to the Chief Investment Officer.

Risk Objectives

- Proactive identification of issues or concerns related to potential gaps in existing processes, procedures, policies, frameworks, etc.; - Contribution to satisfactory results in audit reviews, compliance reviews, and regulatory examinations (internal/ external), Compliance and Regulatory Agency reviews; response to required corrective actions in a timely and complete manner; - Completion of all assigned training (Compliance, Bank Secrecy Act, Audit, Code of Conduct, etc.) and reporting requirements within set timeframes; and - Adherence to the Code of Conduct, assigned Risk Tolerance or Mandates and all organizational policies and procedures applicable to role.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Equity Universe

• Establish a methodology for the selection of equities that comply with the approved framework and ensure high quality standards throughout the security selection process to add value to our customers and reduce the fiduciary risk of the bank.

• Prepare the investment documentation to support the entry/exit of a stock in the universe and ensure the correct communication of all investment platforms and commercial teams.

• Identify potential areas where security selection policies and procedures require change and or where new ones need to developed.

• Create and alert system and prepare reports such as movement prices and multiples, valuations and others, that affect the recommended list (Universe).

Investment Strategy

• Prepare presentation and materials to support and defend the Equity Strategy to SPBI Asset Allocation Committee.

• Develop internal models and use external research sources to provide perspective on the main equities markets (OCDE and EM) and recommend a positioning on them.

• Elaborate daily, weekly and monthly reports with the in-house view to be used by the Investment platforms and Commercial area.

• Create and manage a model portfolio based on the Universe to provide our best ideas.

• Work closely with the different platforms (DPM, PA, and AIS) to create tactical ideas and commercial opportunities (SAS) and elaborate the support material to.

Specialized Knowledge

• Experience managing investments portfolios in different markets within LATAM countries.

• Extensive knowledge of functioning of financial markets, banking and investment products.

• Ability to structure and present an investment policy according to the macroeconomic and market environment.

• Ability to work under own initiative and with supervision.

Job Requirements

Education Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred or equivalent experience

Business Experience 7-10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated required level of proficiency

Supervisory / Management Scope Manage process or technology

Technical Knowledge

• Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint

• Goal oriented

• Flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment

• Flexibility to travel

Licenses / Certifications

• CFA, preferred

Physical Requirements

Duties are performed in an office environment. Physical demands could involve any or all of the following: digital dexterity and hand/eye coordination in the operation of office equipment; light to moderate lifting (10-20 lbs.) and carrying of supplies, files, etc; the ability to speak to and hear customers and/or other employees both telephone calling and in person; and body motor skills sufficient to enable the incumbent to move from one office location to another.

Working Conditions

Frequent minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing and walking. Occassional moving and lifting equipment and furniture is required to support onsite and offsite meeting setup and teardown. Physically capable of lifting up to fifty pounds, able to bend, kneel, climb ladders.

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.
