As CTO, you'll play a key role in the technological transformation in your entity, leading change towards our common goal.
In Santander the CTO is accountable for the IT architecture, hence, you must be responsible for bringing all technology roles together towards our common goals.
You will be the driving force in your entity behind the technological components of the Santander Platform, successfully deploying and using them, achieving cost efficiency, and improving the time-to-market for our customers.
Ensuring the quality, security, alignment, and a fit-for-future architecture in the solutions deployed into production is a key task within the CTO's role, thus leading an agile solution design, is a must.
Faced towards a long-term strategy, you will be an agent of change with a continuous improvement vision, leading, coordinating, and taking part in the definition of the entity's strategy and the technological foundations for our digital transformation. Finally, you will be responsible for ensuring alignment between the global strategy and local needs and roadmaps, business architecture and artifacts and the technology organization.
We need someone like you to:
Promote the Santander agile transformation with your local team committed to the Group's Global Domains and Global CTO strategy.
Boost the Data and IA First global strategy in all solutions, focusing on software engineering, enhancing productivity and efficiency.
Have a deep understanding of the local IT assets to ensure the seamless integration of the Global Platforms in the entity, fostering cost efficiencies.
Excellent knowledge of the current architectural catalogue of the entity, making sure all local solutions are correctly inventoried and updated.
Ensure convergence and execution of the Global Platform roadmaps and monitor their implementation including local systems decommissioning and reducing the running costs.
Identify and promote initiatives to address the technological debt. Draw up plans for the decommissioning of obsolete technologies, migration plans and adoption of global blueprints, assessing risks and securing funding.
Participate in the development of the Group's global strategy through the stablished governance.
Core responsibilities include:
Lead the execution of the Global CTO strategy in the entity.
Lead the integration design and adoption of the Santander Global Platform working closely with the global owners and the CIOs.
Lead the software engineering practice within the entity ensuring Gluon's adoption.
Work closely with the CDAIO local team in the key data processes and the Global AI-First strategy adoption.
Work closely with the CISO local team towards the evolution and adoption of the global security platform.
Lead the solution architects team working in agile with the CIOs providing architects to the product tribes.
Lead the platform convergence roadmaps execution and application decommissioning efforts.
Lead local solution designs and validate against global standards and strategic view.
Ensure that architecture methodology, processes and governance are followed locally.
Supervise the alignment and compliance with Regulators, Global Platform Governance and solution design guidelines.
