Santander Digital Services is the technology and operations team of Santander. We are convinced of the importance of technology aligned with business needs and that our work not only adds value to users, people, and communities but also fosters individual creativity. The impact you will generate
Santander Digital Services is looking for a Senior Lead Software Engineer based in Madrid (Edificio Luca de Tena) with at least 7 years of experience in executing technology projects.

In this position, your main responsibilities will include:
- Elaborate, together with the team, detailed project work plans
- Collaborate in the implementation of functional objectives, technical plan, deliverables/milestones
- Follow up on the implementation of project deliverables/milestones end to end and communicate status
- Manage risks that impact or may impact the success of the project: Identification, documentation, communication, and escalation when necessary
- Manage interdependencies: Ensure all interdependencies are adequately identified, and all affected parties are informed
- Identify tasks, milestones, and project responsibilities
- Seek solutions to potential conflicts, ensuring compliance with the planned milestones
- Coordinate the different stakeholders involved in the projects, both at the corporate level and in the factories and subsidiaries
- Collaborate in the preparation of the status report and degree of progress to the project management and area direction

The following requirements represent the essential knowledge, skills, and competencies for this position.
Professional experience
- At least 7 years of experience in managing technology projects (mandatory)
- Knowledge in Java, Angular, SQL (mandatory)
- Previous experience in Banco Santander's technology environment (desirable)
Education
- Computer Engineering, Telecommunications or related university degrees
- Higher Vocational Training in technological fields
Languages
- Level of English B2 or higher (desirable)
Technical skills (hard skills)
- Experience in managing technology projects
- Focus on solution, product development, and results
- Knowledge of Angular and backend Java programming languages (Darwin)
- Knowledge of frameworks such as React, Spring, Spring boot
- Knowledge of DevOps such as Jira, Jenkins, Git, Github
- Experience working with platform monitoring, planning, and process automation platforms, microservices, and Agile/Lean methodologies
- Technical-functional knowledge of savings and investment products and processes
- Domination of productivity tools such as Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Familiar with Agile working methods. Collaborative and results-oriented work capabilities with business and operations teams

- Knowledge of agile practices and high management capacity
