The portfolio of products is diverse and includes Receivables Financing, Supply Chain Finance, Letter of Credits, Guarantees, Inventory Finance and Structured Trade Solutions.
GTB Analyst - Trade & Working Capital Solutions for Corporate Clients in France, Benelux & Ireland
Reports to the Head of the T&WCS team in Paris. As a GTB Analyst, you will support the senior T&WC officers on developing the T&WC relationship with a portfolio of blue-chip clients in a defined industry. Proactively support senior T&WC officers to identify and originate trade finance solutions (structured trade, guarantees, letters of credit, prepayments, supply chain finance, inventory solutions, receivables discounting). Along with the senior T&WC officers, prepare presentation decks, propose acceptable financing structures, prepare term sheets and negotiate terms with clients. Work with legal counsel on documentation.
Coordinate with other teams (Products, Middle Office, Risk, Methodology, Legal, Private Debt Mobilization, Syndications, Correspondent banks, Compliance) to insure smooth handling of transactions. Oversee the internal and external evaluation and follow-up of existing programs to ensure their effective functioning and to enhance revenue generation and profitability. Identify opportunities for expansion of existing programs within our clients or across their subsidiaries and entities in France, Benelux, Ireland, and other international countries within the Santander footprint. Support in the cross-sell of Export Finance, Cash Management, Markets or other CIB products whenever possible. Develop and maintain along with the senior T&WC officers dynamic calling program / networking. Contribute to product development initiatives, identification of incremental sales opportunities, pitches and sectorial research.
Skills needed: Commercial capacity and drive are a must, the same as excellent time management skills and adaptability to work under pressure with multiple priorities. Action oriented individual with the willingness to take responsibility and initiative, fast learning and adaptable, curiosity to take an interest in different sectors and develop expertise. Enthusiastic, self-motivated, ability to work independently as well as within a multi-cultural and cross-functional team. Ability to work in a high paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English (Spanish would be appreciated but is not required). Proficiency in Excel, Power Point, Power BI and data management and visualization tools. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload to meet deadlines. Team spirit is a must.
