Manager, Account Services
Under the direction of the Director, Marketing Services, the Manager, Account is responsible for overseeing the project management of creative services input and output, supporting the overall performance and mission of the Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation. This strategic and collaborative leader will manage a team of Account Specialists, ensuring the seamless execution of marketing initiatives across departments. The ideal candidate is a proactive and solutions-oriented professional with strong communication skills, a deep understanding of integrated marketing, and a passion for delivering exceptional service. This role requires a balance of team leadership, client relationship management, and operational oversight to drive performance and ensure high-quality creative outcomes.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
1. Leads and manages the Account Services team, ensuring seamless coordination of marketing support services. Provides strategic oversight for project intake and assignment, aligning initiatives with business priorities and available resources. Reviews and approves creative briefs, offering guidance to uphold quality and consistency. Monitors market trends and competitive activity to inform team strategies and recommendations. Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal departments and external agencies, proactively identifying future marketing needs. Establishes communication protocols and feedback mechanisms to foster collaboration and transparency.
2. Partners with internal stakeholders to define creative and marketing needs across a wide range of deliverables, including collateral, advertising, and multimedia content. Guides the team in translating business objectives into actionable creative strategies.
3. Oversees project timelines and workflow management, ensuring the team maintains high standards of quality and meets deadlines. Implements processes for progress tracking, proofing, and stakeholder communication.
4. Collaborates with the Production Team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of creative assets. Resolves escalations and facilitates cross-departmental coordination to remove roadblocks.
5. Participates in departmental meetings and training sessions, representing the Account Services team and contributing to broader marketing initiatives.
6. Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, reviewing and directing work; evaluating and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Provides leadership and professional development for the Account Services team and fosters a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
Education, Experience And Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or Communications required.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in account management required; within an agency or internal marketing team preferred.
- Minimum (3) three years supervisory experience required.
- Related, relevant, and/or direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational requirements indicated above.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities (Ksa)
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with demonstrated organizational and program management expertise is essential.
- Experience with creative project management is essential.
- Possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills; strong client interface and presentation skills preferred.
- Must maintain a strict level of confidentiality and act in a manner consistent with all legal and regulatory requirements and in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Must be personable and professional, capable of using caution and discretion in communication.
- Intermediate technical proficiency and knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook) is essential.
- Experience with Adobe Workfront is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to drive toward results.
- Must have an outstanding ability to think creatively and identify and resolve problems.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and be a strong collaborator and team player.
Licenses, Certifications And Registrations
- At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
- No Driving Responsibilities: Role does not require a driver's license or insurance.
Physical Requirements/ Working Conditions – Environment
- Primary work environment is in a climate-controlled casino and office setting.
- Work requires travel to attend meetings, trade shows, and conferences.
- Incumbents may be required to work evening, weekend and holiday shifts.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
- Strength sufficient to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects and/or move up to 40 pounds occasionally.
- Sedentary work: involves sitting most of the time. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
- Physical activities that apply to the essential functions of the position are balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
- Hearing sufficient to hear conversational levels in person, via videoconference and over the telephone.
- Speech sufficient to make oneself heard and understood in person, in front of groups, in meetings, via videoconference and over the telephone.
- Visual acuity that meets the requirements of the position: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading and visual inspection of employees, visitors or facility.
- Mobility sufficient to safely move in an office environment, walk, stoop, bend and kneel, and enter, exit and operate a motor vehicle in the course of travel to promotional events, meetings, conferences, trade shows and San Manuel properties.
- Endurance sufficient to sit, walk and stand for extended periods, and maintain efficiency throughout the entire work shift and during extended work hours.
- The employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles including secondhand smoke.
