We're looking for a mission-driven, people-focused professional to join our Operations team as Senior Manager, People Operations. This role is all about helping our team thrive - making sure our staff feels supported, connected, and able to do their best work. Reporting to the SVP of Operations, you'll manage core People Operations processes while also contributing to initiatives that strengthen our culture, such as learning and development and team offsites. The ideal candidate is empathetic, tech-savvy, and adaptable, thriving in fast-paced, remote-first environments while balancing hands-on execution with cross-functional collaboration. Manage and coordinate day-to-day People Operations activities including recruiting, onboarding, benefits, compliance, performance management, and employee engagement
Serve as the first point of contact for employees on HR-related matters, escalating as needed
Maintain and improve our HR systems and tools, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
Partner with the SVP of Operations on policy implementation and process improvements
Help develop and implement learning and development initiatives that support employee growth
Handle sensitive employee matters with discretion and professionalism
7+ years of professional experience in People Operations/HR, ideally in startups or high-growth company
Demonstrated success supporting and improving HR programs in remote or distributed teams
Strong knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and compliance
Experience with HRIS and people management platforms; tech-savvy and quick to adopt new tools
A "roll up your sleeves" mindset—flexible, proactive, and comfortable shifting between day-to-day execution and project support
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on empathy, confidentiality, and integrity
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving, and entrepreneurial environment
The base salary for this role varies by location: $135,900-$140,400 (National) / $151,000-$156,000 (Bay Area/New York Metro), with the final amount depending on experience, skills, and qualifications. In addition to base salary, full-time employees are also eligible for a performance-based bonus of up to 10% of their annual salary
