Role and Responsibilities

eCommerce is evolving fast and so are customer expectations. Traditional UX with predetermined and predictable outcomes, recommendation engines and static storefronts are no longer enough. Shoppers today are looking for intuitive, personal, and human-like experiences, where they can simply share what they need, and the journey adapts in real time to their unique context and preferences, just like interacting with a helpful person.

At Samsung Electronics, we're answering that call not by optimizing the old, but by inventing the new by focusing on human-centered, intelligent experiences. We're not following a playbook, we're writing it. At the forefront of a transformative shift in digital commerce, we're shaping the direction of next-generation eCommerce, where AI isn't just a tool, but the foundation of the entire buying experience.

This is the vision of Agentic eCommerce: a new paradigm where intelligent, autonomous AI agents don't just recommend, they reason, learn, and act. These agents redefine how products are discovered, evaluated, and purchased, creating shopping experiences that are seamless, adaptive, and deeply personal.

If you're excited by the idea of building something entirely new, where AI changes not just what people buy, but how they buy, join us. Help pioneer the intelligent eCommerce systems of tomorrow.

As an Applied AI Engineer, you'll be at the helm of the latest AI innovations shaping the future of eCommerce. You'll lead technical direction while ensuring that AI systems solve real-world business problems. You thrive on first-principles thinking, with demonstrable product and business sense.

Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to prioritize and build AI-native experiences that directly impact key metrics like conversion, engagement, and customer satisfaction and architect, implement, and deploy Generative AI and LLM-powered systems to dramatically enhance the product buying journey and deliver measurable business ROI.

  • Conduct competitive analysis, develop business models, and study industry trends to inform AI strategy and ensure solutions align with market demands and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with external partners to evaluate AI solutions and assess capabilities that support Samsung's eCommerce initiatives.
  • Drive the development of autonomous agents that deliver hyper-personalized and intelligent shopping experiences at scale.
  • Leverage Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) to enhance how products are surfaced, ranked, recommended, and seamlessly purchased within an AI-native, Agentic eCommerce environment.
