AMHS Operation Engineer

In your role as an AMHS Operation Engineer you'll be responsible for the implementation, optimization, reliability, and continuous improvement of automated material handling systems within Samsung Taylor Semiconductor fabrication facility. You'll ensure the safe, efficient, and uninterrupted transport and storage of wafers and reticles to support high-volume, high precision manufacturing operations, productivity, quality and cost target. You'll also collaborate with process engineering, equipment engineering, facilities, IT and external partners to troubleshoot system issues, implemented upgrades, and drive performance improvements aligned with production goals, SEMI standards, and FAB safety requirements.

Role and Responsibilities

Here's What You'll Be Responsible For:

  • Configure, optimize, upgrade OHT, stockers, conveyors, and FOUP and reticle handling systems.
  • Analyze AMHS performance metrics (throughput, cycle time, capacity, system availability) and drive improvements.
  • Lead root cause analysis for system failures, jams, and material delivery delays.
  • Support system integration with MES, dispatch and tool interfaces.
  • Execute AMHS expansions, tool hookups and FAB ramp activities with support from planning team.
  • Develop preventive maintenance strategies and reliability improvements.
  • Coordinate vendor activities, commissioning and preventive maintenance schedule.
  • Ensure compliance with clean room, safety, and EHS standards.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures and change controls.
  • Provides 24/7 on-call or on-site support.

Skills and Qualifications

Here's what you'll need:

  • Must have BS Degree in Engineering (prefer Electrical/Mechanical).
  • Proficient use in MS Office [Word, Excel, Power Point] and basic scripting [Python, SQL].
  • Cross-functional communication and project management.
  • Strong knowledge of semiconductor FAB operations and material flow is a plus.
  • Familiarity with SEMI standards and fab automation architecture.
