We are seeking a passionate Cloud Devops Engineer to join our team. In this role you will work extensively with Kubernetes and public cloud (AWS, OCI). You will help implement a GitOps model for faster and safer application deployment. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can act independently, lead other team members, and represent operations core values across the organization. You will have an understanding of Kubernetes and public cloud as well as experience working with GitOps. You will have the opportunity to work on challenging and exciting projects, collaborate with a talented team and make a significant impact on the company's success.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy infrastructure automation solutions for 8x8 environments.
• Manage Kubernetes clusters and resources.
• Automate and optimize cloud infrastructure.
• Stay current with the latest trends and best practices in Kubernetes and public cloud.
• Provide best practices, recommendations, and guidance for Public Cloud usage (e.g. AWS)
• Work on automation and implemented continuous integration processes with Terraform, Ansible, ArgoCD and Git.
• Evaluate current development procedures, recommend and implement tools and practices to increase efficiency and repeatability.
• Work closely with other teams and understand the functionality of applications and assist with various automation and configuration tasks.
• Provide support on Incident Response.
• Contribute and maintain documentation ensuring knowledge is shared within the team.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to understand a broad strategic vision and to be a team player.
• Ability to multitask and take on new technologies.
• Experience with a highly available and scalable SaaS.
• Have a broad understanding of development, web operations, SDLC, etc.
• Technical foundation in several of the following technologies:
• Linux systems administration
• Container Workflows: Kubernetes, ECS
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
• Proven experience in scripting languages (Python and Bash). Knowledge of other languages is a plus.
• Cloud computing: AWS, OCI, GCP
• Monitoring tools: Prometheus, Grafana
• Configuration management: Ansible
