Service Center Coordinator

Location: Kingman, Arizona

Status: FT/non-exempt

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required
  • 1-2 years supervisory experience
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Power Point, & Outlook.
  • Ability to organize, delegate, motivate and set priorities.
  • Must have valid Arizona Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Must complete Salvation Army PTM training within 30 days of employment
  • Must be able to pass a background check

Responsibilities:

  • Insure operating policies and procedures are followed (including operating hours, HR guidelines, staffing levels and qualifications, safety procedures, etc.), for all volunteers/employees.
  • Handle community questions and concerns involving the conduct of volunteers or related to program functionality.
  • Compile and input all data as necessary for monthly statistical & financial reports
  • Oversee the condition and maintenance of all properties, making appropriate recommendations.
  • Coordination of operational responsibilities.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of all volunteer activities.
  • Provide public relations coordination for all programs, devising new ways to present existing and new events and programs to enhance the visibility of The Salvation Army within the community.
  • Direct all fund-raising activities
  • Act as a liaison to the Service Extension Committee, attending all meetings, preparing agenda, keeping minutes and meeting reminder notifications.
  • Supervise all business matters, including purchases.
  • Maintain personnel, business and program files.
  • Represent The Salvation Army on all local Committees where appropriate.
  • Work with clients to develop case plans and establish best course of action, availability, and eligibility for services to ensure smooth transition through continuum of care
  • Complete all required case management documentation and data entry regarding client files, eligibility screenings, vouchers, guarantees, food box forms, and reports
  • Maintain HMIS (Homeless Management Information System) and Wellsky database and provide statistical information for the preparation of weekly, monthly, and annual reports for grantors
  • Maintain and build on current relationships with partnering agencies and field contacts
  • Communicate in a professional manner with community partner agencies
  • Perform follow-up communication with referral agencies as needed
  • Report issues of concern, abuse, or neglect to designated agency
  • Promote and maintain an orderly and professional work environment
  • Responsible for maintaining the voice mailbox and returning messages promptly.
  • Responsible for the look and care of the service center.
  • Ensure that proper inventory levels are maintained.
  • Filing- ensuring all clients file are accurate, neat and filed appropriately.

Christmas & Special Appeals:

  • Make initial contact with and organize all volunteer agents and individuals.
  • Work within TSA policies and protocols in working with local businesses for the kettle campaign.
  • Responsible for the recruitment and management of volunteers
  • Maintaining a log of all volunteers and submit required paperwork DHQ prior to engagement.
  • Organize counting of donations, making deposits, scheduling workers, and dropping off and picking up donation points.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor as it relates to the position of Service Center Coordinator.
