HR Recruiting & Onboarding Generalist
Function: The HR Recruiting and Onboarding Generalist provides support to the HR team and IM Division for its people management needs. This includes the spearheading of the Divisional Recruiting program which includes but is not limited to job posting, conditional offer preparation, onboarding and orientation as well as UKG/TSAMM data entry as outlined. The HR Recruiting and Onboarding Generalist works collaboratively with the HR Team to support personnel management, orientation, and onboarding. Will act as liaison between the Intermountain employees and supervisors on recruiting and assist with TSAMM processing. The position requires familiarity and compliance with Salvation Army policies, practices, and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create and process TSAMM items for the Divisional Headquarters; HR1s (general new hires), HR 3s (request to hire a minor), HR11s (non-bell ringers and non-HPC workers), HR12s, (permission to hire a relative); insuring items are accurate, complete and conform to Salvation Army requirements.
- Process TSAMM items for the Divisional Field; HR1s (general new hires), HR 3s (request to hire a minor), HR11s (non-bell ringers and non-HPC workers), HR12s, (permission to hire a relative); insuring items are accurate, complete and conform to Salvation Army requirements.
- UltiPro Recruiting Gateway, post all positions internally for 5 days, THEN external for 5 days (if needed) linking correct coding for UKG Recruiting Gateway applications. Upon candidate selection including conditional offer letters, new hire paperwork, and all onboarding documents.
- Troubleshooting, main contact point for UKG (reporting, modules, updates, etc.).
- Managing Applicants by sending automated emails upon application, interview, closure of position – to ensure applicants receive timely, relevant communication of process step.
- Closing postings upon position being filled. Follow up on outstanding posting or unfilled postings.
- Assist with procedures and policies, general Q&A and support to the field and DHQ in regard to Human Resources Posting/Onboarding/Orientation.
- Under the direction of the Human Resources Director, assist with scheduling and performing interviews for Divisional Headquarters staff and Divisional Director positions.
- In accordance with The Salvation Army Policy, initiate and deliver conditional offers for employment, processing the responses accordingly.
- Send the COEPA Email to HR Director every 21 days or less, to include all newly hired, promoted, transferred employees in the Division, including location, name, title and date of change.
- Implement and process follow-up onboarding documents.
- Process orientation pay for all newly hired employees. (2 hours, first payroll)
- Initiate requests to I.T. and Property departments for equipment, technology, security requirements, and applicable office supplies for newly hired staff.
- Scan and/or upload all required documents for newly hired staff into their individual UKG profile.
- Employee Folder Creation for DHQ staff.
- Serve as back-up for other HR employees during absence, vacation, or busier periods.
- Will maintain confidentiality in all matters considering the nature of Human Resources work and scope.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualification and Education Requirements:
- Associate degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong skills in interpersonal communication, writing, and organization. Ability to handle confidential information with sensitivity. Good reasoning and sound judgment abilities are required. Resourcefulness, ability to work well under pressure, meet multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines. Ability to maintain and promote a professional work environment.

- Minimally 21 years of age and possessing a valid Colorado Driver's License.
Software-related skills:
- Working experience with HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
- Working knowledge of integrated database applications and ability to use new software programs with basic training.
