Service Center Manager I – Lee County

Schedule / hours: Tuesday – Saturday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Full Time.

This position is responsible for:

• Planning, directing, and participating in the day-to-day operation, management, and maintenance of a small Salvation Army Service Center with limited social services and a Thrift Store operation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Recruits and manages a limited staff and volunteer team.
• Prepares bookkeeping, sales, statistics, and payroll records.
• Participates in screening and providing services to clients.
• Represents The Salvation Army in the community.
• Monitors the receipt and processing of Thrift Store donations.
• Ensures merchandise is properly priced and rotated in order to maximize store sales.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Ability to meet attendance requirements.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
• Ability to perform mathematical computations.
• Ability to perform frequent walking and/or standing, kneeling, or squatting relieved by lesser periods of sitting or operating a vehicle.

What We Are Looking For In You:

• Associate degree in business or related field.

And

• Three years successful experience working in a retail field where producing and sustaining profit is a requirement, with at least one year experience in a supervisory capacity, and ability to become proficient in the social services functions of the job within the first 90 days of employment.

• Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
