Food Service Position
This position is responsible for:
Assists in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals, breaks, and special events for the Southern Territorial Headquarters Conference Center; assists with the physical arrangements for requested meetings and events.
Key responsibilities include:
- Responsible for serving a variety of foods and beverages utilizing kitchen equipment, utensils, and supplies in accordance with acceptable and economical cooking methods under the direction of the Food Services Supervisor
- Assists in the clean-up and removal of served foods; collects and cleans dishes and flatware and returns the same to the proper storage place; assists with the set-up/removal of required physical arrangements of the Conference Center
- Assists the Food Services Supervisor by monitoring all events to ensure that meals and refreshments are served according to the meeting plans
Physical requirements and working conditions include:
- Work is performed in a kitchen and dining room and office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
- Ability to safely lift and carry objects such as coffee pot, plates, glasses, and flatware on a frequent basis.
- Ability to stand for an extended periods of time while performing job responsibilities.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. frequently.

What We Are Looking For In You:
Education and experience:
High school diploma or G.E.D. with coursework in food preparation preferred, and 1 year of experience working in a dining hall or food service environment, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
License & Certifications:
Valid State Driver's License
SERV safe Certification within first six months of employment
