Store Manager

Schedule Hours: Mon-Sat 9 am - 4 pm.

This position is responsible for:

Plans, administers, monitors, and evaluates the daily operations of a Family Store to generate maximum financial return; oversees all employees, community service workers, and volunteers of the Family Store; oversees the layout and display of merchandise; rotates and re-stocks store merchandise to ensure quick turnover; ensures the accountability and security of all store items and funds.

• Administrative Responsibilities (10%)

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to meet attendance requirements.
• Ability to read, write and communicate the English language effectively.
• Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing including the providing of clear instructions to employees.
• Ability to perform mathematical computations.
• Ability and willingness to conduct all duties in accordance with the ministry of the organization and its Christian principles; conducts all communications and job duties with the highest level of professionalism.
• Duties are performed by frequent walking and/or standing, kneeling or squatting relieved by lesser periods of sitting or operating a vehicle.
• Moderate amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying heavy objects (more than 50 lbs.) occasionally.

Working Conditions:

• Work is performed in a normal retail store environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather, but may include warehouse conditions associated with store operations or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.

What We Are Looking For In You:

Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED required, with an associate's degree from an accredited college or university preferred, and three years supervisory experience working in a retail store environment, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Certifications: Valid State Drivers License
