This role provides administrative support to the Divisional Human Resources managers and Director by assisting in day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department. In-person position.
Essential Responsibilities:
Responsible for onboarding new hires through ADP (HRIS) system
Maintain job postings on Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
Maintain and update employee files, I-9 files, and legal files in line with organizational policies and government regulations, to ensure accuracy of files
Conduct background checks for all new hires
Maintain and update records with the HRIS/Payroll System(s)
Assists with the recruitment process by reviewing resumes and applications, and conducting phone screening and scheduling interviews
Prepares and forwards correspondence as is necessary
Assist with various projects as requested
Participate in departmental meetings both in-person and virtual
Maintain current knowledge of Federal and State laws and regulations pertaining to employer and employees
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
Associate's degree
2+ years Human Resources experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
Complete The Salvation Army Safe From Harm training and keep current as needed
Strict confidentiality
Computer Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
Working knowledge of HRIS/Payroll/ATS systems, ADP Vantage a plus
Working knowledge of TEAMS and SharePoint
Willingness to learn new programs as needed
Certificates and Licenses:
Must have and maintain a current valid driver's license and pass The Salvation Army Motor Vehicle Record check (MVR)
