Child Watch Attendant / Membership Services Representative

The Child Watch Attendant / Membership Services Representative plays a key role in creating a welcoming, supportive experience for Kroc Center members and families. This position supports the day-to-day operations of the Welcome Desk while also providing nurturing, engaging supervision for children in our on-site Child Watch program. The ideal candidate delivers outstanding customer service, communicates clearly and confidently about programs and services, completes necessary desk transactions, and creates a safe, fun environment where children can learn and play while parents participate in Kroc activities.

Flexibility is important for this role, with primary shifts scheduled Monday–Thursday from 3:00–8:00 PM, Fridays from 3:00–7:00 PM, and every other Saturday between 6am - 6pm. This position works up to 18 hours per week with a pay range of $15.96-$16.61 per hour depending on the role worked. An additional $1.00 per hour shift differential is added for all shifts worked from 4:00 PM Friday through Sunday.

The Child Watch Attendant will be responsible for the nurture and supervision of all children participating in the temporary on-site care offered by the Kroc. The Child Watch Attendant will develop activities to entertain, teach, and mentor young children while their parents / guardians participate in Kroc programs and events.

The Membership Services Representative's primary responsibilities are the execution of the day to day operations and workflow of the Welcome Desk and to deliver high quality customer service at all times. This individual must be knowledgeable on facility programs, able to communicate that knowledge effectively, and be able to complete the necessary paperwork and computer transactions associated with Welcome Desk functions.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of one year customer service experience, including cash-handling.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older and have 1 year of relevant work experience with children.

Or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

First Aid, CPR and AED Certification to be obtained within 90 days of hire.

This job is in a busy community center environment. The duties of this job will be primarily performed indoors under normal room temperatures, although temperatures may vary and may be cooler or warmer than a typical office environment. The noise level in this work environment will vary from low to loud.

For other duties of this job, such as outdoor special events and community center activities, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment at these events is usually moderate to loud. This job requires that the employee be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
