Join Salomon as an Area Sales Manager to drive sales performance, build strong partnerships with key retailers, and deliver a premium on-snow and in-store brand experience. A hands-on role combining commercial ownership, field expertise, and deep product knowledge in a highly performance-driven environment.
Job overview:
The Area Sales Manager (ASM) drives sales and promotes the brand to achieve significant sales targets for Salomon Portfolio and to ensure an exceptional consumer experience at his/her assigned accounts and OMNI channel touchpoints.
The ASM builds partnerships with key specialty sporting goods retailers by developing joint plans to serve the consumer that benefit both Salomon and the retailer.
Key Responsabilities
Sales & Distribution
- Achieve the seasonal sales and distribution targets in the defined territory
- Develop a seasonal "game plan" to drive Salomon brand guidelines, strategies and priorities (PP program)
- Builds, presents and coordinates seasonal Joint Business/Marketing plans with assigned Premium Partners that deliver on strategic objectives of Salomon and maximizes consumer preference and brand experience.
- Meet the seasonal key product category objectives in sales and distribution
- Identify territory sales, distribution and promotion opportunities
- Take care of all the customer related topics - sales and accounting aspects
Sell Thru & Consumer Experience
- Ensures a high level of product expertise and brand knowledge (Shop Pro Training) for store employees in Premium Partner and selected category specialty doors for a best in class consumer experience.
- Increase and maximize Salomon in-store brand visibility and image thru defined product assortments and seasonal key story packages
- Manages and executes local consumer activations / events in Premium Partner Network as required.
- Coordinates a seamless sell-thru execution, utilizing internal resources (shopper, customer service, IMM)
Relationship
- Develop and maintain great working relationships with key personnel in each account
- Develop and maintain close cooperation with Salomon ASM / KAM community internally.
- Develop and maintain relationship with local sports environment / community (clubs, resorts, event)
Reporting
- Prepare and review customer performance report on seasonal basis
- Analyze and report competitor distribution, in-store presence and offer
- Information to Market Manager of trade related information on an ongoing basis
- Complete all reports and records required and submit on a timely basis
- Shares best practice across sales and marketing team

Desired qualifications
- At least 3-5 years of experience in sales with a strong Sporting Goods expertise. Any other experience in the Sports and Outdoor Industry will be welcomed
- High school level education minimum / Degree level ideally
- Foreign languages: Fluent English and local language skills
- Computer skills:
- Microsoft office – particularly strong excel skills
- Sales Tools (sales portal, B2B, SFA)
- Others:
- Car Driving License
- 80% Travel requirement
