The Director of Patient Care Services (Director) at Saint Luke's East Hospital (SLEH) assumes accountability for the overall planning, coordination, and delivery of acute care services within the assigned departments. The Director is responsible for utilizing and modeling the Saint Luke's values of kindness, respect, excellence, safety, and teamwork. The Director is responsible for the quality and safe delivery of care as well as outcome metrics related to patient experience within the assigned departments. The Director is responsible for stewardship of resources (staffing, space, equipment, and supplies) for the assigned departments, including cost center budget management.

The Director reports directly to the Chief Nursing Officer. SLEH is supported by a team of Directors who works collaboratively with this role, to ensure consistency and equity of processes and resources among the similar units within the scope of Patient Care Services.

Working collaboratively with the Medical Staff, the Director also assumes a leadership role in planning, developing, and implementing programs, processes, and services which support the mission, vision, and strategic direction of the entity, system, and enterprise.
