Saint Joseph's Medical Center in Yonkers, NY is seeking a full-time Human Resources Assistant. This front-line HR role is a full-time, non-exempt position which provides all aspects of human resources office support services including typing, record keeping, filing, telephone reception and related organizational duties i.e. recruitment, pre-employment background checks, license verifications, on-boarding, new employee orientation etc. Assigned tasks require initiative, organization and independent judgment in solving routine problems. Provides clerical duties for all services required.
This role involves assisting with employee onboarding, maintaining HR records, and contributing to the smooth operation of HR systems. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organizational skills, able to multi-task in a high pace environment and a passion for working in human resources.Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
QualificationsAssociates' degree in Business Administration and Human Resources experience, preferably in a healthcare setting with exposure to HRIS and recruiting.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate sensitive and confidential matters effectively to all professional levels within the organization.Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail, diligent task follow-through and customer service orientation.Strong planning, time management and problem solving skills.* Experience with HRIS and applicant tracking tools, preferred.* Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Two years of human resources experience preferred

Salary Range: $42,000 -- $45,000 (based on exp)
