Service Center Planner

The Service Center Planner will be responsible for forecasting and planning spare parts required to support Service Center overhaul and repairs within turnaround time guarantees. This includes meeting customer requirements while minimizing inventory holdings, daily review of Service Center past due backlog, and detailed understanding of aviation based forecasting methodology. The Planner will work closely with SAU Buyer, Safran Global Forecast Planner, and Service Center personnel to ensure all parts are flowing to support Turn Around Time guarantees. Responsibilities also include placing purchase orders, processing requests for quotes, resolving shipping discrepancies, and communicating with all departments regarding the procurement of parts.

The Planner is responsible for the timely and cost-effective procurement of approved parts and supplies, ensuring all relating paperwork is processed and filed, and for the proper distribution of paperwork and parts. Weekly review and follow-up with vendors corporate Buyers on open order reports and any problems with receiving and accounting are also required. The Planner will perform all other duties as directed, working with internal and external suppliers to negotiate and resolve schedules, inventory levels, and other material issues.
