Job Summary: The Electrical Engineer is a key member of a cross-disciplinary team driving the design, development and execution of the pilot control, actuation systems and cockpit solutions program for the next generation of military and commercial aircraft. The Electrical Engineer works on the development of new products, and the improvement and sustainment of products. Engineering duties will span the entire product lifecycle, from initial design and requirements capture through manufacture and field support.

In addition to the above, they will have significant knowledge of products, systems, sub-systems and applicable regulatory requirements for programs of highly complex systems. Will be a specialist in a specific area, and knowledgeable in two or more product lines. Serve as lead for highly complex systems. Create solutions that can be applied to the product line in its entirety. Perform at an advanced level, provide estimates for standard tasks and discuss technical topics with company executives and customers. May represent the company as an expert at both internal and external program reviews. Will demonstrate the ability to execute all tasks with minimal oversight. Will gain MRB approval and will be able to judiciously use this authority in alignment with company policy. Communicate solutions and ideas with external customers and suppliers; oversee and provide guidance and mentoring. Develop knowledge of market competition and provide input to the business unit market product strategies. Develop technical & product roadmaps and competitive assessments in area of expertise. Mentor teams on the utilization of internal processes, methods, and tools for systems development and documentation efforts. Utilize and set expectations for the application of internal processes, methods and tools for hardware development and documentation efforts.
