Safran Aircraft Engines Mechanics
Join the engineering compressor BP team within the Industrial Excellence Center (CEI) Rotating Parts department. As a mechanical engineer on low-pressure compressors (LEAP, CFM56, GE90), your main duties will include:
- Providing technical support to production
- Participating in the treatment of production deviations
- Contributing to the validation of reconditioning (REC) of rotating parts
- Participating in the constitution of technical definition evolution (CAD) dossiers for critical parts
- Acting as a technical validator (if eligibility criteria are met)
- Providing technical support to robustness activities
- Contributing to the reduction of non-conformities with our producers, through field actions to feed the CAD plan or participation in part reviews
- Participating in instances organized with our suppliers (8D, stop anomaly, etc.)
- Participating in QE commissions and ensuring technical reconciliations
- Contributing to the progress initiative in your area
- Being a force of proposal for the improvement of working methods in your area
- Being an actor of change by participating in transformation projects
To fulfill these duties, you will need to:
- Understand the manufacturing and control issues related to our specifications
- Perform and pilot thermomechanical studies (finite element calculations, life cycle initiation studies, propagation)
- Supervise external intellectual services (specifications, tenders, follow-up, etc.)
- Provide technical syntheses, make presentations of the work done and the planned work, especially during validation reviews (technical audit)
- Act as an interface with internal Safran Aircraft Engines stakeholders (support service bureau, technical brand, methods bureau, quality, after-sales, etc.)
- Act, if necessary, as an interface with external stakeholders at our producers (preparers, quality guarantors)
Job requirements include:
- A degree of type bac+5 in general engineering with a mechanical focus or equivalent
- Knowledge in mechanical finite element calculations such as RDM, stress calculations, life, static, and dynamic
- Proficiency with tools like pre/post Patran/Workbench and mechanical solvers Samcef/Abaqus/Ansys
- Knowledge of design tools (Catia) is a plus
- Operational mastery of reading technical plans and understanding functional notation and chain of codes
- Specific knowledge in production (metallic parts manufacturing) is appreciated
- Good interpersonal skills, teamwork will be an essential component to achieve your missions
- Demonstrated rigor, responsiveness, and good synthesis skills
- Previous successful experience in a similar position is a plus
