Safran Aircraft Engines Mechanic

Join the team at Safran Aircraft Engines, a global leader in the design, manufacturing, and maintenance of civil and military aircraft engines. Together, we shape a sustainable future for aviation and enable our customers to fly safely.

What we will achieve together: Within the Engineering entity of the Support & Services division, you will be attached to a design office unit focused on service engines. You will have the opportunity to explore all mechanical engine themes: lifespan of parts, structural calculations, mechanical calculations on metallic and composite parts, static and dynamic analyses. Your main duties will include:

  • Ensuring technical processing of client requests from airlines or maintenance workshops,
  • Conducting validation studies for extensions of service criteria for parts and modules in accordance with the load plan,
  • Validating repairs planned in the load plan and participating in the feasibility studies for the development of repairs through exchanges with repair design and maintenance workshops,
  • Analyzing service-encountered events, conducting technical expertise, and participating in causal analyses necessary for their understanding,
  • Capitalizing on the experience and know-how acquired for today's and tomorrow's engines.
  • Being involved in multidisciplinary product improvement groups (change to definition, redesign platform...) to represent the after-sales vision.

The Design Office Support Mechanic acquires in-depth technical knowledge of phenomena encountered in the fleet. Therefore, this position is at the crossroads of design, expertise, customer services, and maintenance workshops.

This position is for you if: You have a specialized engineering degree in mechanics and calculation. You have initial experience in mechanics or calculation in the industrial field. You have thorough knowledge of the laws of mechanics and are capable of modeling the physics of phenomena encountered in the module and its components through finite element calculation. You have a very good level of English (oral and written). Mastery of finite element calculation tools is recommended. You have a passion for mechanical analysis and technology, as well as for working in a multidisciplinary team (mechanics, thermal, materials...). The sense of service and client engagement are indispensable qualities, as well as reactivity, efficiency, and dynamism. You are organized, pragmatic, rigorous, concise, and can manage urgent questions and medium to long-term files. You are capable of communicating with numerous internal partners (front office, workshops, experts, shop representatives...) and external partners (GE, cooperators, subcontractors...).

Are you ready to join our site in Montereau sur le Jard (77), near Paris, easily accessible by car via the A5/N104 or thanks to Safran shuttles?
