We are now looking for an experienced Java developer who wants to be part of developing an advanced HMI application in Java Swing.

About the Role

In the role, you will be responsible for making important design decisions to ensure that the software is easy to maintain, and that the application is as user-friendly and effective as possible. You will be a key person in our Scrum team where we plan the work together in sprints of 3 weeks. We conclude our sprints with a demo of what the team has accomplished during these intervals. We work agilely and value independence, collaboration, and quality in all aspects.

Your Profile

You are an experienced Java developer who gladly takes the expert role in the team. Colleagues see you as a natural knowledge resource and often turn to you for support and advice. You also have an aptitude for quickly getting into complex systems and working further with legacy code.

Furthermore, we see that you:

• educated to a college/civil engineer with a degree in computer science or equivalent
• have at least 5 years of experience in Java development, preferably with Java Swing
• are a strong programmer who can make important design decisions
• are self-driven and at the same time thrive on working in teams

Meritable:

• Experience in database programming
• Sense of usability and UX design

The position requires that you undergo and be approved according to the current regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, it may, in some cases, require certain citizenship.
