Service Engineer For Radar System Giraffe Xa

We are looking for service engineers to work on service support for the radar system Giraffe xA. You will be responsible for supporting operations, troubleshooting problems, and carrying out service efforts both in our own environments and with customers.

The work involves handling technical problems that arise during operations and ensuring that the systems can quickly be restored to full function. This may involve troubleshooting electronics, replacing components, updating software, or verifying the system's function after an action.

You will become a part of the System Integration & Verification group, where we work to ensure that our radar systems function as a whole, from integration and verification to delivery and operation with the customer.

The work is based in Gothenburg, but also takes place at nearby facilities in Halmstad and Molnlycke, as well as with customers both in Sweden and internationally. Travel is therefore a natural and recurring part of the service.

Examples of duties:

• Perform service, troubleshooting, and technical support on radar systems with customers
• Conduct system testing and functional checks after service or upgrades
• Perform installation, startup, and verification of systems in customer environments
• Identify and analyze faults in hardware, software, or system integration
• Replace or repair components such as computers, storage, electronics, or mechanical parts
• Perform software updates and system configurations
• Document actions, test results, and technical deviations
• Contribute to improving service processes and technical support to customers

We are looking for someone who has a strong technical interest and thrives in a practical role where you get to work closely with the systems. You are solution-oriented, responsible, and comfortable taking ownership, especially in situations where quick and technically sound decisions are required. The role involves close contact with both colleagues and customers, which means you need to be comfortable in collaborations and representing the business technically.

We believe you have:

• Experience working with technical systems, installation, or service
• Experience troubleshooting in electronics, IT, or control systems
• Good ability to analyze technical problems and find solutions
• Experience with radar, sensor, or defense systems
• Experience with field service or technical work with customers
• Experience with measurement technology or testing of technical systems
• Experience working in lab or test environments

The position requires that you undergo and pass any applicable current regulations for security clearance. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, it may, in some cases, require certain citizenship.
