Your Role

You will be a crucial part of the Saab G1X system engineering team which is highly associated with a cross-functional collaboration between customers, product managers, project managers, development and verification engineers. In this role, Systems Engineering is the foundation of everything you do. You will take ownership of system-level work from requirements through to delivery – with a strong focus on interpreting customer needs, ensuring alignment with our base product, and coordinating across disciplines such as integration, structure, and architecture rather than detailed component design.

A key part of the role is to break down and interpret customer project requirements and apply them to our existing technical base product. This means translating customer-specific needs into structured system requirements, ensuring they align with our platform architecture and technical capabilities – while maintaining traceability and supporting reuse across projects.

Your Profile

• Solid experience in Systems Engineering, preferably using the V-model, and a strong educational background in engineering.
• Broad system understanding – you think in terms of structure, interfaces, and complete solutions rather than subsystems or individual components.
• Proven ability to work requirements-driven: trace, break down, author, and manage requirements – translating customer project needs into system-level requirements aligned with our platform and product standards.
• Experience in process-oriented development and coordination of roles such as Integration and Verification lead and other subsystem leads.
• A holistic mindset, with the ability to balance customer, user, and environmental perspectives.
• Excellent communication skills, including technical writing in both Swedish and English.
• Comfort working in an international technical environment – you navigate cross-cultural collaboration with ease.
• Strong business understanding and leadership skills – you take ownership, drive initiatives, and lead task forces when needed.
• A genuine interest in learning new things – and sharing your knowledge to support others.
• Willingness to travel when required.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around security protection. For positions requiring security clearance, additional obligations on citizenship may apply. The role is based in Mölnlycke.
